Hello, I'm Alejandro
I am a project manager and a parent, currently an expat settled in Madrid, Spain.
Several years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a short-term contract gradually became a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Started
Moving to Spain wasn’t part of the long-range plan. Like many relocation stories, it began as a work opportunity and quickly grew into something far bigger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they needed to be.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning on the fly. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, met other families, and started building something that felt stable.
Why I Built Paper Vector Crest
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice grounded in real life in Spain.
What This Site Is (And Isn't)
This site IS:
- Practical insights gained from living in Spain
- Centered on family life and daily realities
- Updated when something meaningful changes
This site ISN'T:
- An official tourism promotion resource
- Promoted review platform
- A broad travel blog
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Spain goes on, and so does the learning journey. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue recording what we uncover.
If you have questions about family life in Madrid or anywhere in Spain, don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best regards,
Alejandro
